!Event! Phase 1 complete. Natives are no longer invincible.

Note: Infusion, weapons, armor, potion, and stat buffs will be ineffective during this phase.

“Rrr!” Nine leapt atop the dining table – causing whoever was still seated to stand – and trudged over to his father with ooze leaking from all orifices. He then shoved Bodug to the wall to stop him from reaching Perry. “I did everything you asked of me, father.” He laughed, which told Aegis that the Diant was no longer Throw Man Nine, but rather the other personalities stuck therein. “Remember? I tended to the basement, chained, sitting in poisonous gas you thought would rid me of my affliction.” Nine smiled, his voice lowering to a demonic rumble. “You stripped my last name in hopes the world would forget. It would’ve been as if I never existed. You gave me a number, father… do you remember?” Nine reached for Bodug’s throat, lifting the lion of a man off his feet. “Where is that rage you tout?”

Aegis was at a loss, watching the life being squeezed out of a man he didn’t think it’d be possible to break, then shifted to Ocresius running frantically after his father, to pry him from none other than Aegis’ own mother.

In a fit of rage ignited by Karnus’ words, Bodug smashed Nine in the temple, causing him to hit his head on the side of the wall, before falling unconscious. Then Bodug coughed while doubled over to catch his breath. “Karnus.” His voice was mostly air from being strangled. “You show your true colors.” He lifted, face red. “All in this room have shown their true colors. Guards!”

On cue, Free Lance grabbed Resuel by the hand and dragged her the long way around the table. “Come, sister, we must flee this madness and start anew.”

Silver and Flat tried to stop them, but Free had much more power here, pushing them both to the floor with ease.

We’re not meant to win this in combat. Aegis realized Silver was right as he got back to his feet, gazing around at the madness; many of the guests clenched the table checking for an opportunity to book out of the room. Are we supposed to win this at all?

“Father!” Ocresius speared Kunera to break her grasp on Perry, prompting Aegis to leap and tackle Royard too. His Transcendent strength was nonexistent in that moment though. As the Event prompt proclaimed, all physical efforts
